We are actively looking for a Marine Structural Engineer to join our Costa Mesa office. As part of the Waterfront Structural Group, this position designs waterfront structures and marine infrastructures projects, including marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures. Management of projects, including budgets, scheduling and documentation preparation, support and evaluation Construction support Resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspection Design detailed plans and structural analysis Perform finite element static and dynamic structural modelling of marine and waterfront structures Prepare design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates Calculates quantity estimates Coordinate plan details with drafting technicians Prepares inspection reports as needed Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering; required Master's degree in Structural engineering; required Ph.D. in Civil or Structural engineering; preferred Professional Engineer (PE) licensure; required 6+ years of experience in structural engineering design; required Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Availability and willingness to travel All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire Base salary range: $109,000 to $133,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description. Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market. Physical requirements: Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel may be required.
