WHAT YOU WILL DO Find and Develop a Team We believe in the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:9), and we create intentional pathways for people to explore and strengthen their gifts. The Worship Director is responsible for recruiting and developing a team through:
- Auditions
- Weekly Development process
- Monthly Lead Team Connections
- Quarterly Team Nights
- Oversee the Tech Director position and, along with the Tech Director, recruit, care for, and develop a volunteer team.
- Oversee the Music Director
- Recruit, onboard, and oversee On-Call staff musicians.
Operate with Excellence There are many tools we use to keep our ministry organized. There will need to be a commitment to and proficiency in each of these resources:
- PCO
- ProPresenter
- Ableton
- Google Workspace
- Budget reports. Responsible for maintaining their budgets accordingly.
- Church database maintenance and expense report reconciliation.
Create Compelling Services Create environments where the community can encounter God. Thoughtful attention will be given to the details of the gatherings. We value creativity, wonder and awe, and inspiration in these spaces:
- Weekends
- Night of Worship
- Memorial Services
- Prayer Gatherings
Oversee services for the Spanish Community - Lead Worship at weekly Spanish services as well as other Spanish Community events.
- Reposnsible for translioatn of worship songs and other related worship materials.
- Recruit, lead, and develop volunteers for the Spanish Worship ministry.
Understand commitment to local and global Saddleback life We have a deep commitment to our local Saddleback campus and also to the larger Saddleback Church story and ministry. We value maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Central Worship Pastor and Saddleback Worship team across all campuses to ensure alignment on the vision and values of worship at Saddleback. This is demonstrated through:
- Campus Staff Meeting
- All-Church Conferences and events
- Set-Up/Take Down
- Monthly Saddleback Worship community connects (after in-person staff meetings)
WHAT YOU HAVE DONE - Must have experience leading worship, team building, and a demonstrated commitment to prayer.
- Demonstrate that you are a constant learner who keeps worship experiences fresh and spiritually enriching.
- Exceptional vocal and musical skills with guitar and/or other instruments.
- Must have experience with Ableton software for creating, editing, and running tracks.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.

Saddleback Church's pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. The estimated pay rate for this position is $67,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate's qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
