Position Details

KPMG is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities

1. Manage a portfolio of clients of varying sizes and serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Lead teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects.
3. Analyze and understand U.S. GAAP rules impacting clients.
4. Manage engagement risks and financial performance, including billing, collections, and budgeting.
5. Deliver high-quality tax advice and services to clients.
6. Assess tax impacts, develop supporting tax arguments, and advise clients on strategic plans.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager

1. Contribute to external market and business activities while leading and mentoring a team.
2. Serve as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals.

Qualifications

• At least five years of recent corporate tax experience supporting alternative investments, with prior managerial experience at a public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA credentials required. Candidates without these credentials have one year from hire to obtain at least one.
• Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager

• Minimum of eight years of recent experience supporting alternative investments as a tax senior manager.
• Experience reviewing 1120 RIC, 1065 tax returns, including Schedule K-1, and managing multiple client engagements.
