Department Bio Position Specific Summary The Foreign Area Officer Regional Skill Sustainment Program at the Elliott School of International Affairs is seeking to hire students fluent in several specific languages for an assignment to aid in the preparation of command course seminars.
Student employees will be asked to perform research on current regional security issues written and published in foreign languages. Student employees will be asked to draft an overview of each article in English and to describe their sources and methodology. Students may also be asked to perform other research duties pertaining to their language of competency.
Standard Position Description The student will perform basic administrative and research tasks under the guidance of a faculty member or research coordinator. Tasks may include: assisting with experiments, coding, data entry, and data cleaning, preparing research/documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations. Students may also help provide information for literature reviews, draft summaries, and create graphs and figures. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided (Students working in an instructional capacity should be very familiar with the subject area in which they are working).
