Your Next Opportunity: Staff Accountant

• Processing Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, posting transactions to the accounting system, reviewing transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Printing and mailing checks for payment of invoices.
• Maintaining files for Accounts Payable documents.
• Cross train and serve as back up to the current accounts payable staff.
• Maintain and process the company's credit card accounts.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses).
• Preparing accounting reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing financial summaries in Excel.
• Assist with the month end close process as needed.
• Assist with meeting organization, scheduling and coordination as needed.
• Assist with preparing documents for meetings, creating digital packets and printing.

To Be Successful as a Staff Accountant

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting software. Knowledge of MarkSystems ERP business management software and Concur expense management and invoice software preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.
• Excellent organization and analytical skills.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy in keying data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Ability to perform effectively and efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Displays cooperation and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of associates.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
