Job Description

Summary/Objective: The Special Events Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of Special Events at First Horizon Park. This role involves planning and executing event setups and teardowns, as well as coordinating the scheduling of staff and third-party vendors. The position will also require leading events and maintaining regular communication with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate, plan and manage special events of diverse sizes and purposes within the First Horizon Park facility: including writing proposals, walk throughs, rate and contract negotiation, contract reviews, pre-event planning, on site day of coordination, event recaps and reports.
• Generating event leads and drive revenue through face-to-face meetings, site visits, networking, follow-up, and upselling opportunities.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to manage the Special Events Master Calendar, outlining the event plan and ensuring clear, timely communication of deadline to all relevant parties - internal and external.
• Oversee the event setup, tear-down, and ensure compliance with all facility requirements including coordination, permits and communication with contracted third-party vendors
• Serve as the primary venue contact and principal liaison for all events at First Horizon Park
• Assist with gathering of marketing materials of events to use for the First Horizon Park channels.
• Keep client database up to date with accurate information.
• Provide exceptional guest, partner and client experience
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be self-motivated with strong sales, customer service and organization skills with strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required.
