Our Opportunity:

We are seeking a Software Engineer III at our Plantation, Florida facility to design, develop, test, and support software systems and integrations.

What Youll Do:

1. Design and develop high-complexity components and platforms.
2. Collaborate with technical and business teams on multiple initiatives, providing guidance and mentorship, and delivering new features and enhancements.
3. Lead and participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of software functionalities using agile methodologies.
4. Develop or modify complex, scalable, distributed software systems.
5. Ensure code quality, provide feedback, and promote collaboration during code reviews.
6. Advise stakeholders on improvements and optimizations for features, practices, and processes.
7. Work with stakeholders and technical teams to implement features and enhancements effectively.
8. Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to teams and stakeholders, acting as a technical point of contact and influencing trade-offs.
9. Ensure solutions follow best practices, are reliable, maintainable, and scalable under load.
10. Identify, isolate, and resolve software malfunctions.
11. Lead by example, advocating best practices and influencing hiring practices as the team grows.
12. Lead technical project development and delivery.
13. Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence.

What Youll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 7 years of experience, or a Masters degree with 5 years of experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in:
• Software engineering;
• Developing software components/services with JavaScript;
• Data structures and algorithms;
• Distributed storage systems;
• Web technologies including HTML, JQuery, JSON, ReactJS, CSS3, Jest, Typescript, Node.js;
• Working with web services (SOAP/ REST);
• SQL and relational databases;
• Server technologies;
• Designing software services and architecture.
• Experience as a technical lead;
• Knowledge of quality assurance and automated testing tools such as Selenium/JMeter;
• Experience with AWS, Agile/Scrum, open-source tech, responsive design, CI/CD tools like Jenkins;
• Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture.
