Job Description
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper for our CPA Firm in Woodstock, Ontario. The ideal candidate will work closely with our accounting team to maintain the books of account for various companies, assist with the preparation of financial statements, corporate tax returns, and personal tax filings. The candidate should be able to meet deadlines, work independently, perform full cycle bookkeeping duties, and be familiar with relevant accounting softwares.
Salary Range: $50, 000 – $62,000
Duties:
· Maintain and correct books of accounts. Including data entry, maintain records to create financial statements
· Keep track of all payments, receivables, and revenues for multiple accounts.
· Record and post day to day financial transactions.
· Verify correctness of ledgers and trial balances.
· Bank reconciliation
· HST return preparation and filing
· Process accounts payable/ receivable.
· Create reports or budgets as required by manager
· Organizing accounting tasks and files as required.
· Prepare personal tax returns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years Bookkeeping experience.
· Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
· Understanding of accounting software (Specifically Quickbooks, Caseware, & Sage).
· Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Data entry skills.
· Experience with spreadsheets.
· T1 Practical knowledge.
