Details of Job: Maintain a safe and secure environment for guest, employees, volunteers, lessees and all other guest of Six Flags St. Louis. Provide in-park Security patrol, Respond to Security related incidents. Screen guest at the front gate and complete any and all assignments given by Security management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Secure gates, checking, logging and clearing authorized personnel and vehicles presenting proper identification or passes attempting to gain access to the park.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information disclosed, accidentally discovered or communicated as an officer with or without specific instructions to do so of Guests, vendors, lessees and all other customers.
• Respond to security related incidents occurring on park property.
• Write clear and concise reports.
• Enforce local, state and federal laws occurring on property.
• Safeguard company assets, property, equipment and facilities against illegal and destructive acts.
• Must call in and out using the EAS system.
• Maintain proper attendance and timeliness.
• Set high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities.
• Respond to any emergency situation in the area and maintain control until an area supervisor arrives.
• Ensure that image, cleanliness and courtesy standards requirements are met.
• Refrain from consuming any substance that may impair judgment.
• Cooperate with all Team Members and managers.
• Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags St. Louis Management.
• Comply with Six Flags St. Louis handbook policies at all time.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be high school graduate or possess GED.
• Must be able to obtain a St. Louis Metropolitan Security License and maintain all required certifications.
• Previous security related experience preferred.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, well organized with ability to multi-task.
• Safety conscious, mature, reliable and dependable
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor, with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Committed to providing a safe environment for our Guests
• Must be able to work flexible/ rotating shifts including but not limited to overtime, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Must be able stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to climb a 50’ tower
• Possess a valid driver license.
Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
