Job Description

A global player in the Food Manufacturing space is seeking a specific talent to lead the Sanitation team. Reporting directly to the Quality Director, this individual will serve as a crucial member of the plant leadership team with a lot of visibility to the executive team as well.

The Sanitation Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Promote a top-tier sanitation culture.
  • Solve and improve current issues.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, SOPs, best practices, and processes for an effective sanitation program.
  • Manage chemical inventory.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Quality, Plant Leadership, Maintenance, Safety) to align sanitation schedules.
  • Hold regular sanitation meetings for alignment.
  • Ensure sanitation schedules meet production goals and maintenance needs.
  • Address strategic and operational challenges using quantitative analysis for profitability, supply chain, transportation, network design, inventory management, and warehousing.
  • Apply industry best practices to align company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in audits to uphold best practices and company standards.
  • Operate urgently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure safety requirements for procedures and materials.

The ideal Sanitation Manager candidate will have the following skill set:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or similar technical field.
  • 3+ years of progressive sanitation experience.
  • Experience in maintaining chemical inventory.
  • Experience with swabbing and tests.
  • Pest control experience (a plus).
  • Leadership or people management experience (a plus).
  • Experience in food production, food processing, CPG, or similar regulated industries.
  • Experience with CIP procedures and best practices.
  • Understanding of HACCP or PCQI.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and similar regulatory standards.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certifications (a plus).
  • Proven success in sanitation audits.
  • Root-cause analysis experience.
