More than just a team, we’ve built a strong company culture centered around collaboration, professionalism, and continuous growth. At Adjusting Experts, we’re not just adjusting claims—we’re redefining the standard for client advocacy and truly innovating the industry with our systems and AI technology.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Public Adjuster at Adjusting Experts, Inc., serving Central Florida and/or the Panhandle. The Public Adjuster is an independent insurance professional hired by policyholders to represent their interests in settling insurance claims. Unlike insurance adjusters who work for insurance companies, public adjusters work exclusively for the insured, advocating for their best interests to secure fair settlements. This role requires the ability to evaluate damages, estimate repair costs, prepare documentation, and negotiate with insurance companies to ensure an efficient and equitable claims process.

With a combination of company-assigned claims and self-generated leads, this role offers a competitive fee split, along with full back-office support to manage administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independent Representation: Advocate solely for the policyholder to achieve fair settlements, ensuring the insured's interests are represented.
  • Claim Expertise: Conduct thorough assessments of property damages, including residential and commercial properties, and prepare detailed documentation.
  • Policyholder Advocate: Guide the policyholder through the claims process, helping them navigate complexities and paperwork to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Attend and coordinate inspections with clients, contractors, and insurance adjusters.
  • Prepare, file, and negotiate insurance claims on behalf of the policyholder.
  • Communicate effectively with the insurance company, aiming to achieve a fair settlement that reflects the full scope of damages.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
  • Generate and manage leads, while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of property damage assessment and insurance claims processes.
  • 3+ years of experience handling property insurance claims.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage, and claims procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in claim management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Public Adjuster license in Florida (or ability to obtain).

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with fee split on self-generated and assigned claims.
  • Full back-office support to handle administrative tasks.
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Positive company culture with a focus on growth and collaboration.

Location

This role can be based in several locations throughout Central Florida and/or the Panhandle, with travel to inspection sites as required.
