Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a Property Accountant on behalf of our client, a well-established real estate investment and property management firm based in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with property-level accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Yardi .

This is a critical role supporting the financial operations of a diverse commercial and residential portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets
• Record and reconcile revenue, expenses, accruals, and prepaid items
• Manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with property managers and senior leadership to ensure financial accuracy
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Generate reports from Yardi and support external audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4+ years of property accounting experience
• Proficiency with Yardi (required); MRI or similar systems a plus
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
