The Project Intern will support various project management activities, which may include planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and develop valuable skills in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. AltaMed offers mentoring services for youth as a supplement to educational and occupational skills training available through the existing Workforce Development program. Technology skills training, career exploration, and leadership development are benefits for the thousands who have formally gone through the Workforce Development program. Workforce Development coordinates all of AltaMed’s internships, including AmeriCorps and clinical placement. It exists to promote the sustainable growth of AltaMed’s workforce, aiming to supply 10-20 percent of employees from within the communities served with greater retention in mind. Minimum requirements include being currently enrolled in or graduated from an academic institution, with the level of educational degree varying.
