Payroll Administrator – Miami, FL

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Miami, FL . The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing employee compensation records . The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees (weekly, biweekly, or monthly cycles).
• Verify timekeeping records , including hours worked, overtime, and leave balances.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations , including tax withholdings and garnishments.
• Prepare and distribute pay stubs, direct deposit notifications, and W-2 forms .
• Maintain and update employee records , including new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
• Administer payroll deductions , including benefits, retirement plans, and other withholdings.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, accounting, and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate payroll data.
• Stay current on payroll laws and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Provide employee support by addressing payroll-related inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in payroll administration.
• Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations , tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced skills in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis).
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills .
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
