Job Description

Camp K-9 of Marin, a full-service doggy daycare and overnight boarding facility is seeking a PART-TIME facility maintenance person.

Requirements:
  • We are a dog care facility so you must be comfortable working indoors/outdoors, around noise and in environments containing plenty of dirt, dust, and hair.
  • You must also be comfortable around dogs as you may come in contact with them on occasion.
  • Knowledge of basic tool handling and safety is a must as is a positive attitude.
  • We are looking for someone who is honest, hardworking, can follow instructions, and work independently, completes projects thoughtfully and has a "Can-Do!" attitude.


Responsibilities:

  • Duties will include maintenance work such as keeping equipment like bathing room and kitchen appliances up and running, maintaining dishwasher, fixing gates, fencing and hosing. Janitorial tasks such as changing light bulbs and batteries, sweeping/mopping, cleaning projects, testing alarms, emptying trash, cleaning hair traps, simple repairs, etc.
  • Basic landscaping tasks such as laying down woodchip, pulling weeds, trimming back bushes, etc. are also part of this job.

Schedule: 

  • This position is for 12-16 hours per week. 
  • The exact days and times of the caretaker shifts can be FLEXIBLE to accommodate other work/school/home commitments. 
  • Upon hiring, a regular, ongoing weekly schedule will be determined.

 

  Benefits:

  • Wage starts at $20.00/hour.
