Missile and Space Systems Maintenance at United States Air Force summary: Missile and Space Systems Maintenance specialists are tasked with ensuring that missiles and rockets are maintained and serviced for optimal performance as part of the national defense strategy. They handle the planning, organization, and execution of maintenance for various missile systems to ensure readiness at all times. Candidates must meet specific health and educational prerequisites, including passing an ASVAB test and completing military training. Responsible for servicing and maintaining them, Missile and Space Systems Maintenance specialists ensure these assets are fully operational at all times. From missile launchers to space lift boosters, these highly knowledgeable experts plan, organize and perform every service necessary to keep these systems in pristine working condition so they’re ready when we need them. REQUIREMENTS You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force. These concern your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense and federal law.Minimum Education You must be 17–42 years of age, a U.S. citizen and obtain a qualifying ASVAB score.
