Job Title: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Type: full-time, in-office

Location: Charlotte, NC (South End)

Compensation: $100-$120k base

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to support and optimize infrastructure systems as we transition to cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Virtualization Management: Maintain and support VMware infrastructure with a planned migration to Nutanix.
• Containerization: Utilize Docker to build, manage, and optimize containerized applications, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Cloud Services: Manage and support workloads in Microsoft Azure, optimizing cloud resources for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Load Balancing: Implement and maintain load-balancing solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
• Sharding Strategies: Work with database and application teams to effectively implement sharding for improved scalability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with VMware and/or Nutanix in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker containerization and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and best practices.
• Experience configuring and maintaining load balancing solutions.
• Understanding of sharding methodologies and their impact on performance optimization.
