Job title: FPGA Design Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas, USA

Annual Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 per annum

An exciting and growing engineering organisation located in Austin (Texas, USA) who work across leading industries for Autonomous Vehicles , Robotics, Drones, and beyond are seeking to hire a new FPGA Design Engineer to join the highly innovative team and business on a permanent basis.

Salary on offer & the right to work in the USA :

The annual salary on offer for the successful FPGA Design Engineer is $120,000 - $165,000 per annum , depending on skillset and experience. The FPGA Design Engineer must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Summary of the FPGA Design Engineering Role:

The successful FPGA Design Engineer will take responsibility to be developing designs on the new & latest creations of FPGAs, working alongside the talented Electronics Hardware and Embedded Software Engineers.

FPGA Design Engineer Key Skills:

• 5-7+ industry professional experience
• FPGA design experience (RTL, simulation, synthesis tools, implementation, bring-up, and debug)
• RTL design with coding experience in VHDL or Verilog
• Strong knowledge and experience of high digital design
• Experience with FPGA development tools – Xilinx Vivado, Quartus Prime, Altera, Intel Quartus, Lattice
• Demonstrated experience implementing DSP algorithms on FPGAs
• Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, PCIe, JESD204B/C, MIPI
• Experience with FPGA simulations (ModelSim/QuestaSim preferred)
• Experience with formal verification and timing analysis

Bonus nice to have skills:

• Industry experience - Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, Drones
• Experience with Embedded C, C++, MATLAB
• Scripting - Python Perl, TCL
• Ethernet/packet processing experience or knowledge.
• Understanding of SoC architectures
