What You’ll Do:

As a Fiber Splicer, you will play a vital role in our mission to deliver top-notch telecommunications solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Splicing various types and sizes of fiber optic cables, including single mode, multimode, stranded, and ribbon.
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting basic technical issues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and working with various maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents.
  • Performing daily tests, checks, and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment.
  • Conducting optical continuity and conformance testing.
  • Making splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in diverse environments, including buried, underground, aerial, and building locations.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in fusion splicing fiber optic cable, with skills in splice audit verifications, voice/data/fiber installation and termination, as well as OTDR and power meter testing.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Strong knowledge of fusion splicing and optical testing equipment, including Alcoa Fujikura, GN Net Test, EXFO, Fitel, and Sumitomo.
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
  • The ability to work at elevations (using ladders, poles, lift trucks) and in confined spaces.
  • A valid driver's license that meets company minimum driving standards.
