Experienced International Business and Litigation Law Clerk

California based law firm seeks an experienced international business and litigation law clerk to join our team. Our ideal applicant will have 10 years of international business law, international real estate, international merger/acquisitions and litigation experience.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current law license and be in good standing with the state bar in New York

· Masters Degrees of International Business and Economic Law, Corporate Law, Private Law, Diplomatic and Consular Law, and Transnational Business and Law Certificate

• 10+ years of previous experience in law
• Work independently, as well as part of a team and be present in the office.
• Familiar with securities law compliance, SEC regulatory filings, Blue Sky Laws
• Familiar with federal securities laws, pre-merger notification program (HSR filings)
• Familiar with reporting requirements for Foreign Direct Investments
• Familiar with requirements for National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) framework
• Familiar with VAT declarations
• Ability to manage and perform legal due diligence
• Ability to research international/domestic tax and business law
• Familiarity with company formation, consumer law litigation, unfair competition law and selective distribution
• Must be organized and familiar with all aspects of the litigation process
• Strong analytical, planning and problem solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent research and networking skills are required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Ability to prioritize workload and assignments

• Able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, Smokeball, Lexis Nexis and CaseLaw.

Compensation Package:

• $60,000-$120,000 per year
• Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401 (k), PTO
