Akkodis is seeking a Deskside Support Technician for a contract job with a client in Washington, DC . This role requires extensive experience providing IT support in a Windows office environment, particularly for government-provided devices.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $35/ hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Deskside Support Technician job responsibilities include:

• Providing deskside support for users by addressing tickets dispatched from the Service Desk or identified by the on-site user base.

• Performing Break/Fix support for government-provided end-user devices, such as replacing hard drives or batteries.

• Installing specialty software not packaged in SCCM and removing devices from the network as directed by Security.

• Diagnosing and resolving printer issues, including the installation of toner.

• Prioritizing and managing work based on ticket and customer priority, ensuring clear and effective communication with customers.

• Offering “white glove” support to senior management and leadership offices, including after-hours support when required.

• Tracking and updating performance through an ITSM ticketing system to meet service level agreements.

• Providing support for a range of technologies, including Windows 10, Microsoft Office tools, and Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School diploma.

• 5+ years of prior relevant IT support experience.

• Experience providing Tier II IT support in a Windows office environment.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
