As a Corporate Travel Agent , you will be responsible for coordinating and booking travel arrangements for corporate clients. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless travel experiences for business travelers while optimizing cost and efficiency. Responsibilities of a Corporate Travel Agent: Booking Travel: Coordinate air, hotel, car rental, and other travel arrangements for corporate clients according to their preferences and company policies. Ticket exchange calculations and processing. Knowledge of how to work in Worldspan is a must. Group Travel: Hotel room blocks, locate and negotiate hotel rates at hotels for groups of craft workers when a job is awarded; fax or email credit card authorizations to the hotels. Research: Stay updated on travel trends, destination information, and industry developments to provide accurate and relevant advice to clients. Hotel folio research as needed. Tracking: Track unused tickets making sure they are used by travelers before they expire. Update in Agency Tech with this information. Track Delta Edge Points on Delta Pro for name changes and waivers. Research and assist in tracking air and hotel receipts for corporate customers. Maintain traveler and company profile information in GDS- Worldspan and Concur. Budget Management: Assist clients in managing travel budgets by finding cost-effective options without compromising quality or convenience. Policy Compliance: Ensure that all travel bookings adhere to corporate travel policies and guidelines set by the clients' companies. Relationships: Build and maintain a working relationship with Executive Assistants to secure accurate reservations and special requests for Executive travelers. Build and maintain relationships with air, hotel and car vendors for our top corporate travel account. Documentation: Prepare and distribute travel itineraries, confirmations, and other necessary documentation to clients and relevant stakeholders. Technology Utilization: Proficiently use travel booking systems such as Worldspan, online reservation platforms, and other software tools to streamline the booking process and provide accurate information to clients. Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues or challenges with travel arrangements and take appropriate steps to mitigate them. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including resolving any travel-related issues or emergencies that may arise during their trip. Requirements of a Corporate Travel Agent: Previous Experience: Previous experience as a travel agent, preferably in a corporate travel or similar role, is highly desirable. Experience working with the software Worldspan is required. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of travel industry practices, booking procedures, and travel-related technology platforms such as Worldspan. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors. Organization: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple bookings and itineraries simultaneously. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a remote setting. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using various computer programs, online tools, and communication platforms commonly used in remote work environments. Customer Focus: Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring client satisfaction with every interaction.
