Position Overview

The Construction Manager – Multifamily will be responsible for leading the construction high rise buildings in Miami, ensuring that the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires at least 7 years of experience in multifamily and high-rise construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from pre-construction through completion.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills, capable of managing complex construction logistics, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Your tasks

  • Collaborate with Development Team for project turn-over and throughout all phases of construction administration.
  • Oversee all phases of the construction process, ensuring adherence to design, schedule, and budget.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors to drive project success.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce quality control, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential project delays or cost overruns.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage change orders to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with project scope.
  • Manage all draw payments during construction, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement.
  • Ensure compliance with all permitting requirements, local building codes, and regulatory approvals.
  • Coordinate with private providers, city staff, threshold inspectors, material testing engineers and general contractor/subcontractors to ensure all testing and inspections are performed in adherence with requirements.
  • Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and risk assessments to senior leadership and investors.
  • Facilitate clear communication between internal teams, contractors, and city officials to ensure smooth project execution.

Your qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in construction management, with a strong focus on multifamily high-rise developments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience overseeing multifamily projects exceeding 20+ stories.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in managing and negotiating change orders, ensuring scope and cost alignment.
  • Experience managing all draw payments during construction, including coordinating with lenders and financial teams.
  • Proficiency in construction management/scheduling software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and budget management tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, local development and zoning regulations, and permitting/inspection processes.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors efficiently.
  • LEED or sustainability-focused development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of substantial completion, punch-out, TCO and CO process.
