Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO Casting vision, coaching, leading, and caring for the College Ministry Team - Develop and train staff. Lead weekly team meetings.
- Meet one-on-one with staff members.
- Lead brainstorming and planning meetings.
- Build and develop the CM team, including conducting performance reviews and providing care and oversight.
- Set the teaching scope yearly.
- Maintain the Purpose Driven paradigm as it relates to college ministry.
Thursday CM Program - Write lesson plans and sermons.
- Organize life group curriculum for life group leaders.
- Coordinate design and printing schedules for program materials.
- Complete oversight and involvement in running Thursday night programs.
Events - Plan and organize various events:
- Summer camp and winter retreat
- Monthly after-service events
- Occasional stand-alone events
- Collaborate with other Saddleback teams for various events and weekends
Pastoral Care - Meet with students and leaders
- Perform weddings, funerals, baptisms, and pastoral events
- Provide one-on-one counseling
- Conduct volunteer interviews
- Coach small group leaders
WHAT YOU HAVE DONE - Must have experience working with students and parents.
- Must have solid Bible knowledge.
- Must have proven ability to preach and teach from the Bible
- Must have experience leading and developing a team of staff and volunteers
- A college degree is required, and seminary is preferred.

Saddleback Church's pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. The estimated pay rate for this position is $69,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate's qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
