JOB DESCRIPTION
A small - midsized engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in kitchen equipment is looking for an entry to mid-level CAD Drafter to join their Engineering team. The position will be on a team of 4 with the goal of modifying existing designs based on client standards to make sure the end product fits the space in their commercial kitchen. Responsibilities include 85% modification of drawings in AutoCAD based on blocks, and 15% drawing equipment from scratch in Inventor. The Drafter will also need to modify the cut sheets in excel for use in manufacturing. The hours are 6:45am - 3:15pm and is a 6 month contract to hire, which will convert to permanent in 6 months. The company offers on the job training and room for advancement into more complex design work, as well as machine programming and growth into a managerial level role.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in AutoCAD using block manipulation for mechanical drawings
Experience in manufacturing or food service industries
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience using Autodesk Inventor
