Job Description

As a Business Analyst (Azure) , you will support the analysis, documentation, and optimization of cloud-based solutions within AWS. This role requires expertise in business process analysis, Agile methodologies, cloud governance, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, security, and project management teams to ensure AWS cloud implementations align with business needs and federal compliance requirements.

What you'll do:
  • Assess existing cloud business processes and recommend optimization strategies to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Work with stakeholders, engineers, and project managers to define business and system requirements for Azure cloud initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring cloud infrastructure aligns with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD security requirements.
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between government clients, engineering teams, and leadership, ensuring clear communication of project goals.
  • Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI to track project progress, manage risks, and generate reports for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to identify business needs Virtual Machines, Storage, and Identity Management.
  • Assist in the development of automated solutions to enhance efficiency in AWS cloud provisioning and access control management.
  • Support AWS cloud training initiatives for end-users, ensuring proper understanding and adoption of cloud services.
  • Identify potential risks, compliance issues, and technical challenges, providing mitigation strategies.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or IT project support, with at least 2+ years supporting AWS cloud environments
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies to manage technical projects.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for cloud security.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and reporting dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Strong ability to work with technical teams, executives, and government agencies to align business needs with cloud capabilities.
