Description Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in supporting the financial health of our organization. Duties Maintain and update financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and payment requests. Verify accuracy of invoices and ensure proper approvals are obtained before processing payments. Maintain vendor records and manage vendor inquiries regarding payment status. Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and adjustments Assist with corporate accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage for efficient record-keeping Conduct regular audits of financial documents to identify discrepancies or errors Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles Strong knowledge of public accounting practices and corporate accounting principles Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis Familiarity with GAAP standards and compliance requirements Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage; familiarity with other financial software is a plus Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and management If you are passionate about numbers, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a dynamic work environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Bookkeeper.
