Job Description

PrideStaff, a firm specializing in recruiting for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking an Accountant for a well-established Property Management group in the beautiful Bend, OR. The Accountant will be responsible for administering and coordinating accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger transactions, and preparing financial statements. This is a full-time position with benefits. M-F, 8am-5pm.

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Code, enter, and process payment for all property related invoices
  • Enter tenant, owner, and miscellaneous receipts
  • Issue monthly tenant statements
  • Issue monthly miscellaneous invoices
  • Enter charges and credits to tenant ledgers
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Pay monthly property management fees and owner disbursements
  • Review general ledger transactions and monthly profit & loss statements
  • Review leases and set up on new properties, owners, and tenants
  • Assist with annual CAM reconciliations for commercial properties
  • Assist property owners with financial questions and reporting
  • Work on special projects for Property Managers and Controller as needed

Accountant Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework; AND
  • Two (2) years of accounting experience
  • Strong AP/AR background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in Appfolio or Yardi
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet daily deadlines, and multi-task in fast paced environment

Supervision: This position has supervision. The employee will meet periodically as needed with their supervisor to go over pertinent goals and assignments
